I finally took my own advice… And it was good!
Ok… I admit it… I’m a control freak. (I’m sure you can’t relate, right? Wink, wink.)
Recently, I finally took my own advice.
I’ve been needing to hire an assistant for months now and when and I say months, I really mean years.
Why? Because I need the help and because I need the shortcuts for some of the things I don’t know how to do (and no longer have time to learn).
I’d been muddling through on my own spending way too much time (a) trying to figure things out that were not in my wheelhouse and (b) trying to figure out exactly what to do next and when to do it (many times unsuccessfully, I might add).
So, I finally waved the white flag of surrender and took my own advice (you know, the same advice I give all of you)… I got help!
And guess what happened?
On day one… Day one…
She showed me how to do some stuff in 5 minutes I’d spent hours trying to figure out on my own.
She had the shortcuts I needed.
