Referrals are not a strategy.
This is what one of the creatives that I highly respect and follow just wrote a whole entire article about.
And maybe in some of the creative spaces that might be true???
Or… Perhaps it was just a way to sell more digital marketing packages? 🤔🤔
But they are right about one thing…
When you are a specialty healthcare provider, referrals aren’t a strategy.
They are a lifeline.
Patient and physician referrals are the most highly qualified and engaged patients that you will see.

I’m not saying that other marketing channels aren’t important, but I am saying that referrals should be a key part of your patient acquisition plan.
Algorithms come and go. Heck, search as we know it has completely turned on its head with AI.
But the one thing that you can always control??
Your outreach efforts.
You can always control your ability to go out and shake hands, talk to, and build relationships with referring providers in your community.
The biggest and most successful practices we know are building their practice primarily with physician referrals.
They are building a long-term practice growth pipeline and enjoy seeing patients who are pre-diagnosed, pre-counseled, and excited receive care with their practice.
All because they’ve built relationships and partnered with physicians in their community to take amazing care of their patients.
Is this you? Do you enjoy a steady stream of patients ready to receive care with you because their trusted doctor told them it’s the place for their needs?
If it’s not you, this could be you. What are you waiting for?
