So… This is pretty embarrassing but…
I was voted most talkative in high school. Not something cool like best hair, or most likely to succeed, or most likely to become a country and western star or anything like that.
Which means… The purposeful pause can be a challenge for me. Especially when I get nervous.
I know I’m not alone because I see physician liaisons talking right through opportunities to listen on coaching field rides all the time.
Sometimes, we’re better off to just zip it. (I know it can be hard. I feel your pain. Best hair Most talkative remember?)

That’s why in this episode of What’s Hot & What’s Not (our favorite fun and off the cuff video series with my friend and physician liaison extraordinaire, Kate Gibson), we’re talking about the power of the purposeful pause – what it is and when and how to use it.
If you’re new here, What’s Hot & What’s Not is an unscripted, upbeat video series for business development teams where we share, you guessed it, What’s Hot & What’s Not in the world of physician liaisons and referral relationships.
